HV Wooding has been established for over 50 years. The HV Wooding team has over 100 people over multi-sited facilities totalling 53,000 sq. ft. in Hythe. Services include presswork & tooling; busbars; laser cutting; wire erosion; CNC machining; sub assembly design assistance and prototyping, assembly and testing of finished products.

The Kent County Council’s Kent Wind Energy business support services provided insight into the European market opportunity, competitors profile, market entry strategy recommendations and an overview of offshore wind electrical systems.

JFE already has a clear idea of what it can supply the OSW sector. The Kent County Council’s Kent Wind Energy business support services provided support to fully engage with this new market. Initial support included Confirmation of key market players, key UK project information, tendering support and key contacts. Since completing the initial support, several potential international tender opportunities for offshore wind environmental surveys have been sent to JFE.

The Kent County Council’s Kent Wind Energy business support services provided advice on how to engage further in the offshore wind supply chain, industry procurement strategies and how to become a supplier to the industry so they could uncover potential opportunities themselves

Pettit Group

Pettit Group are a construction and civil engineering group of companies, delivering project management, cost consultancy, contracting, labour supply and recruitment UK wide to their industries. They are based near Sandwich. It is looking to explore opportunities within the growing offshore wind sector, around its core business pillars of civil engineering and labour supply. Pettit Group already has a clear idea of what it can supply the OSW sector. The Kent County Council’s Kent Wind Energy business support services delivered support to enable it to fully engage with this new market. Support delivered included identification of key market players, key UK project information, tendering support and key potential clients.

Task Masters

Taskmasters (UK) Limited was established in 1999 and has grown to be one of the UK’s leading height safety and rescue specialists. Headquarters are in Old Romney with several locations in the South East of England and a state of the art Training Centre, which is one of the largest and most well equipped in Europe, covering working at height, rescue, confined space and other safety training.

Taskmasters has already had some success in the offshore wind market and are a certified training provider of Global Wind Organisation (GWO) training courses. The Kent County Council’s Kent Wind Energy business support services delivered support to help them build on that success by providing market forecasts, marketing advice and competitor analysis.

Key areas of activities are aerial survey, drone-based infrastructure inspection, drone data processing and analysis. Terra Drone is looking to explore opportunities within the growing offshore wind sector around its drone survey business.

The Kent County Council’s Kent Wind Energy business support services to provide insight into the international offshore wind markets, how to deliver innovation to the offshore wind market and provided recommendations to enable successful market entry.

True Cut

Truecut specialise in diamond drilling and sawing and are based in Aylesham. They have developed a reputation for professional, on-budget and on-time work. Most work is done in London and the south east with other projects in the midlands, south coast and internationally in the Middle East. Although opportunities in offshore wind are likely to be limited due to the nature of the services provided by the company Kent County Council’s Kent Wind Energy business support services were able to provide global market intelligence and a list of potential clients in the ports sector.
